Innovative Solutions

Tower Cold Chain will integrate CRYOPDP’s dry vapor shippers, which maintain temperatures from -196°C to -150°C, into their offerings. These shippers, filled with liquid nitrogen and equipped with absorbent materials, ensure safe transport and preservation of cryopreserved goods. This addition allows Tower to offer a full spectrum of passive temperature-controlled solutions, covering all shipment sizes and temperature requirements from -196°C to +25°C

CRYOPDP, in return, will include Tower’s reusable KTEvolution small box solutions in their product lineup. These boxes, suitable for temperatures ranging from -80°C to +20°C, are perfect for small payloads and last-mile deliveries. This move enhances CRYOPDP’s existing offerings with sustainable, passive containers that better meet customer needs

Sustainability Focus

This partnership emphasizes sustainability. Reusable packaging significantly reduces waste and environmental impact. Niall Balfour, CEO of Tower Cold Chain, highlighted the benefits, stating, “We are delighted to announce our collaboration with CRYOPDP, which allows us to expand our product range. This partnership enables Tower to offer sustainable, cryogenic-level solutions to the pharmaceutical supply chain, ultimately helping to improve patient outcomes worldwide”

Cedric Picaud, CEO of CRYOPDP, added, “Working with Tower Cold Chain enables us to become a one-stop shop for our customers. We can now meet our sustainability targets by offering fully reusable containers for temperature-sensitive logistics. Together, we can provide pharmaceutical manufacturers with the most comprehensive range of temperature-controlled solutions available”

Global Reach

The partnership extends the global reach of both companies. With 59 hubs across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions, Tower and CRYOPDP ensure that their advanced temperature-controlled solutions are readily available worldwide. This extensive network guarantees that customers can access these solutions more conveniently and efficiently

Industry Insights

At LogiPharma 2024, Tower Cold Chain and CRYOPDP presented a joint masterclass titled “Unlocking the Benefits of Reusable Packaging: Enhancing Performance to Address Evolving Pharmaceutical Supply Chain and Patient Needs.” Martin Hawes, Global Head of Product Development at Tower Cold Chain, and Adri Sijben, Senior Business Development Director at CRYOPDP, led the session. They discussed the impact of reusable packaging on healthcare logistics and shared insights into the advantages of their collaborative approach

Customer Benefits

This collaboration brings several benefits to customers. By combining their resources, Tower Cold Chain and CRYOPDP can offer a broader range of advanced temperature-controlled solutions. Customers can now enjoy the convenience of accessing these solutions through a single point of contact. Additionally, the emphasis on sustainability ensures that these solutions not only meet logistical needs but also contribute to environmental conservation
