Om Logistics, a leading name in supply chain and logistics management, has made a significant move in the logistics sector by acquiring the inland container depot (ICD) Bawal in Haryana for Rs 110 crore. This acquisition marks a pivotal expansion in Om Logistics’ capabilities and aligns with its strategic vision to enhance logistics infrastructure across India.
Located strategically on the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and nestled within the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) industrial estate, ICD Bawal is a premier multimodal logistic hub. The facility spans 20 acres and is designed to meet the growing demands of modern logistics and supply chain management.
Advanced Infrastructure for Efficient Operations
ICD Bawal boasts cutting-edge infrastructure that significantly enhances its operational efficiency. The depot features two automated rail lines and a sprawling 30,000 sq. ft. custom bonded warehouse space. With the capacity to handle 5,000 containers of EXIM cargo per month, ICD Bawal is poised to become a critical hub for cargo movement. Its strategic location provides seamless connectivity to major ports, including Mundra, Pipavav, and Jawaharlal Nehru Port, while its proximity to Indira Gandhi International Airport and other regional airports facilitates efficient air cargo handling.
The depot’s accessibility is further enhanced by its proximity to NH48 and NH71, ensuring smooth road connectivity to northern and western India. Additionally, ICD Bawal’s direct connection to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) and Indian Railways supports rapid and efficient rail cargo movement, making it a central node in India’s logistics network.
